Searching for History in Maui December 27, 2006

While vacationing in Maui, I saw many places of deep cultural significance to Hawaiians. However, some things, we never found.

We found the black sand beach:

We found the lava tube:

But no matter how far down the hiking trail we went, we never found this:

Perhaps this is where Lindberg’s body can be found?

It really means “where the old airport is buried”. Of course you didn’t find it, it’s underground…
