Who shows us the “hidden secrets” of life?

Who shows us the “hidden secrets” of life?
This is one of the downsides of video blogging without rehearsing your script enough: annoyingly repetitive use of the word “actually.” – Tim
Only three instances of the word “actually” in one section. Not bad.
Do you believe you’re doomed without God? How so? What does being “separate from God” mean to you?
Yes, I am “doomed” without God. This is not to say that I couldn’t function like a normal human being, or that I think people who are “without God” are not capable of enjoying life.
However, for me, it’s rather like knowing and understanding emotional intimacy with another person, and then trying to live without it. How then can you go back to living “disconnected”? – Tim
Interesting. Without God, what will ultimately happen to you? Do you believe in a physical heaven and a physical hell? Or do you believe that being “doomed” means living “disconnected” from Him eternally? Or both?
I struggle with these issues, so much so that I’ve avoided forming an opinion about them. If I believe that being separate from God for eternity is a possibility, what does that say about the way I live my life? What would I do differently?
I love God, but I find I run from Him sometimes, unable to allow myself to be held by Him, shepherded by Him. Where will He take me if I let Him do so? What does He have in store for me?
Clearly, the latter questions are ones I can’t answer. However, I do have confidence that if you choose to allow God to hold and shepherd you, that you will find yourself led to things that you are uniquely gifted to do.
As for my view of eternity, much smarter people than me have written all sorts of things about Heaven and Hell, so I’ll leave you with a quote that sums up how I see it:
Make sense? – TIm
Brody, you both inspire & shame me at the same time…
