I’m currently having about four discussions with friends about where to go to watch Thunder Over Louisville. Thinking that this may be a common question, here’s “The Fool Plan.”
Clicking on the link above will take you to Google Maps, and will display a zoomed-in version of where my family usually watches the fireworks. Parking is a completely different story, but can’t be generalized because it depends so much on where you’re headed after the show.
If you’re there Saturday, and see someone who looks suspiciously like me (accompanied by some women and a couple of large young men–my nephews), say “Hey.”
Maybe one of these days those of us who can’t make the trip will be able to watch it on Google – from a satellite!
You can watch it tomorrow, streamed online by the local Fox affiliate. 😀 – Tim
That makes me miss Louisville (spent a week there after Matt’s transplant)…I loved walking along the river for miles…eating at The Old Spaghetti Factory…eating at Buckheads….walking through the downtown area past the Louisville Slugger museum. If I had to pick another place to live, Louisville would definitely be in the running.
Allison,
We have been confronted with the possibility of moving several times in the past 15 years or so, and each time, I’ve been relieved that it hasn’t happened, since I’ve lived in the Louisville area all of my life. After the last one came and went, my wife looked at me and said, “Face it… even if it meant flipping burgers, you’d do whatever you have to do to not move.”
I suspect she’s probably right. – Tim
