Today is officially my day. That’s right… April Fool’s Day, I hereby declare, is my own personal holiday. Traditionally, it’s been a day to play pranks on one another. No longer. I am turning into a celebration of all the foolish things I have done (an interesting list, but listing them ALL would exceed the capacity of WordPress’ generous servers), in my entire life.

So I’m taking the dog out to put him on his chain, part of my morning ritual. Since I’ll be going back inside, I’m just wearing a polo shirt in the freezing cold. Large corporations tend to copy each other. They copy management styles and productivity themes. If you lived in corporate American in the 90’s and early 00’s, you saw your cheese move, learned to catch falling co-workers in woodland settings, and learned quality control the “six sigma” way.

The other day, Tiffany blogged about returning from the funeral of her husband’s grandfather (I can’t decide if “grandfather-in-law” makes any sense as a familial designation). As someone who wrote a blog entry titled “Putting the ‘Fun’ in Funeral,” I most likely have a different perspective. Instead of hijacking her blog (as I’ve done before) with a really long comment, I decided to link to it instead.
