Dad’s House
We used to go to “Mom and Dad’s”
But those days are no more
“Dad’s” is what we’ll call it now
T’will never be what it was before
I know I’ll slip and make mistake
And use the same old name
Each time I’ve done it these few days
It hasn’t felt the same
This kind of change is nothing new
My feelings others share
To speak of going to her house
But know she isn’t there
And so we’ll smile and laugh a bit
When one of us digress
This isn’t Mom’s house anymore
She has a new address
This is really good thoughts of my own home life
